SKIN DERMAL FILLERS This is the non- surgical anti- ageing treatment which offers the greatest precision in wrinkle correction and is the most gratifying of them all for the sheer value of an immediate correction. They are minimally invasive procedures using fine needles to restore volume, enhance or re contour facial features and soften facial creases. The skill of the doctor and the type of filler used determines the result. Most fillers contain Hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring component of normal skin. The fillers vary in their concentration of the hyaluronic acid and this in turn determines the indication and the longevity. Typically we use fillers that last around a year, are safe and allow you to take the decision to add or reduce the effect if you choose to do so. We are pleased to let you that AAYNA has one of the largest filler practices in the country offering you unbeatable experience and superior results.
Which is the best dermal filler?
At AAYNA Ambawatta One, we have vast experience with different types of dermal fillers. The best filler for you will be decided by the doctor treating you but by and large the hyaluronic acid group of fillers are the safest and most effective.
I have lost a lot of weight. As a result, even though the skin is tight, my face still looks old. Should I get dermal fillers or a facelift?
Many patients who have lost weight have an aged appearance because of loss of volume. A facelift may not be necessary. A liquid facelift with fillers to add volume to cheeks is all you may need.
How does my body eliminate these fillers?
Fillers used by us are biocompatible and biodegradable. These terms mean that these injectables can be broken down and naturally eliminated by your body’s normal cleansing processes.
At what age can one begin having dermal fillers such as JUVÉDERM or Restylane?
There is no specific age to start dermal fillers. It depends on when the need arises. We have very young patients in their late twenties at AAYNA Ambawatta One who have had dermal fillers for enhancing facial features, such as their lips and cheeks and the usual age group for minimizing signs of aging.
What precautions can I take to prepare for my dermal filler?
Although not harmful, bruising can occur with the use of dermal fillers. At the AAYNA, Ambawatta One, we do the following to decrease the risk of bruising:
- Topical Arnica cream post treatment
- Cold compresses
- Meticulous injection technique
Stop all blood thinners 5 days prior to the procedure with recommendations from your cardiologist.
